Ray Carey is a General Partner with Azure Capital Partners where he focuses on communications infrastructure technologies. He is currently on the board of NeoNova and SlideRocket.
Prior to Azure, Ray worked as Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston focused on public and private financings and mergers and acquisitions for communications equipment and semiconductor companies. Ray also worked in the Investment Banking and Equity Research divisions at Robertson Stephens, following semiconductor and semiconductor manufacturing companies.
Ray has provided strategic and investment advice to several communications equipment and component companies including Applied Micro Circuits (AMCC), ADC Telecommunications, Amkor/Anam, Cerent (acquired by Cisco), Cyras Systems (acquired by Ciena), Efficient Networks (acquired by Siemens), Juniper Networks, MMC Networks (acquired by AMCC), NeoMagic, New Focus, Newport Corporation, Next Level Communications, Siara Systems (acquired by Redback Networks), TSMC, Wireless Facilities, Xros (acquired by Nortel) and Zhone Technologies.
Ray represented the United States, swimming in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia and received his A.B. and M.A. degrees from Stanford University.
